The golden rule: never pay for a job
Registering and applying on Hospitality Vacancy is free for candidates. A genuine hotel or employer will not ask you to pay for an interview, a job offer, joining, training, a uniform or a "security deposit".
Warning signs of a fake job offer
- You are asked to pay money before an interview or before you get an offer letter.
- The salary is far higher than normal for the role, with no interview at all.
- The offer comes from a personal email address or only on WhatsApp, with no company details.
- You are pushed to decide quickly ("only 2 seats left, pay today").
- You are asked for bank passwords, OTPs or card details.
- For jobs abroad: you are told you can travel on a tourist or visit visa to work.
How to check an employer
- Look up the hotel or company's official website and phone number yourself.
- Ask for a written offer letter on the company's letterhead with a named contact.
- For jobs abroad, check that the recruitment agency is licensed by your government (in India, by the Ministry of External Affairs).
- Never hand over your original passport to anyone except the official authorities.
If you are asked for money
Stop contact, do not pay, and report the listing to us with the job link and any messages. We will review it and remove listings that break our rules. If you have already paid, contact your bank and your local police or cyber-crime helpline straight away.
